I am having trouble with my backups of these games

ESPN 2k5 Baseball
GTA San Andreas
Medal of Honor European Assault

They are all in Pal and I try to patch them with a ps2 NTSC patcher. I am using swap magic. Each of the games will either not start or go for a little while and then freeze. Does anyone have any ideas?

Don't know about the other games, but I did a 1:1 back up of San Andreas, burnt at 4x and used a Ritek GO5 - game works fine.

Does the speed you burn at really matter that much? I have been burning at 16x.

The slower the burn the better 16x is way to fast you should never go over 4x for games or movies.

holy crap.
I would slow that down to about 4X for sure
yes it matters. You will get less errors and better
back ups using slower speeds.
GTA San Andreas was no problem
Also European Assult, no problem.
Do not have the other.
Also good media is a key factor.
