I bought some dvd-r disk from shop4tech.com they called them soicDVD-r 4x and they worked great. But now they don't have them any more. I ran DVD Identifier and it said that they are made by Anwell Precision Technology and the code is AN31. I would like to now if their is any way to find out how to get more of these. Thanks

Your probably better off getting a more well known brand of media

Verbatim Datalife Plus or some riteks their very easy to get hold of and i have very little problems with them.

Post your message inthe DVD Media forum you might have more luck there

Here's one brand name that has that code:. Mitsumi -4x

Here are some others that make some of their -4x media coded as an31,but not all of their media:
Laser
Mirror
Open platform
Sky

I have no clue where to find those brand names.

Hi there,

Not sure if we are talking about the same media here, but father in law bought some Mitsumi 4x DVD-R and the Media ID was LONGTEN.

Man, I would buy Memorex over those !
Does that tell you anything ?

I burn them at 2x, with CopyToDVD and get 100% error free on most of them. And even at 100% error free, one froze/skipped a little on playback on my LG 7732NSC that played anything I gave it until now !

Do not burn LONGTEN higher than 2x, else, make some space in your garbage can :)
