Hi,
I have a pal ps2 slim model and bought the swapmagic pal version along with swap tools( little plastic pieces to block certain areas under lid). I have some ntsc dvd games( originals) and I load the swapmagic dvd and when screen comes up I put in the ps2 game but "not ps2 disk" error shows up. I noticed from other websites that the games need a cdloader, so I burnt a copy and tried loading that after the swapmagic disk but on the cd loader screen when I put in the ps2 game it gets a "cant read disk" error. I'm new to this so I don't know what to try next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What game is it?
People can't tell if you're doing something wrong if you don't give us enough info on what game it is you're trying to backup,what programs and speeds you are using etc.
There could be many different reasons why you're getting the red screen of death... the more info you give us the better the answers will be.

not backing up game, have original NTSC game, Harry potter and chamber of secrets and ssx3(snowboard Game)

ah ok. Sorry about that, should have read your post more clearly...
So, basically you're just trying to play import games then with swapmagic.
Can't help with your problem then, I don't play imports on mine... just backups and original PAL ps2 games.

I have a PAL PS2 and PAL Swap Magic 3.6 and I am able to play back up NTSC games but haven't tried to see whether or not it works for original NTSC games.

I backed up the NTSC dvd game(ssx3) using Alcohol 120%, by making image then burning image at 1x onto memorex DVD+R. Still can't get it to work. I load the swapmagic dvd then the cdloader then the backup but still get message "can't read disk".
