Ok I have been curious about this foir quite some time now. I have a cousin who lives in japan. He sent me some games from over there that are not out in the US. Will they play on my US ps2? I have heard rumors on other boards that they will play but they will end up messing up the ps2. Is this true? I meen can anyone please comfirm this before I try them out?

ok u can use swapmagic and swap for the jap game by hiting sqaure for special boot, or get a mod chip that will boot anything.

The only real problem i can see with Japanese games is you can't understand it if you don't speak the lingo but other than that there should be no problem at all.

well thyey have some good fighting games, or for like sport games sometimes its just odvious to figure out whats what. and its a jap lesson.
