Ok I have been curious about this foir quite some time now. I have a cousin who lives in japan. He sent me some games from over there that are not out in the US. Will they play on my US ps2? I have heard rumors on other boards that they will play but they will end up messing up the ps2. Is this true? I meen can anyone please comfirm this before I try them out?

They will not mess up your PS2, but you need some way to boot them, since PS2 games are region-locked. Swap disc or modchip, take your pick.
