hey, if the file is too big to put on a dvd+rw, how do i narrow it down???

You need to be more specific when asking question i.e. what game you're trying to back up that's giving you too much/big of a gigs? Please use the search tool up to look for games and ripping guides/tutorials.

If you have a modchip that can play DL back up, then yes.... just put it on a DL disc and that'll save you tons of headaches. Or keep searching for a DVD5 guide in here.

I agree, more info please.
95% of the games out there will fit on a regular DVD5
And you do not want to use DVD-RW discs
DVD-R or DVD+R
