hey, i noticed that dvd shirink cannot back up movies like "man of the house" or "hitch", what other programs are out there similar to DVD shrink...and free.

Use Decrypter to get the files to HD and then use Shrink, or even use Rebuilder (w/ free encoders HC Hanks, QuEnc). The installer @ dvd-rb.com will install everything, you have to set it up afterwards. It takes a little bit of learning, yet it is worth it in quality. I agree with CloneDVD 2 or intervideo Copy 3, but both cost money. I have both and both are great, yet I also have AnyDVD in the background. You can purchase ANYDVD/CloneDvd 2 from Slysoft as a combo and save $. Try the trial version and see how you like it. I backed up Hitch with Shrink and CloneDVD 2. I also used Intervideo Copy 3 to make a back-up iof the back-up for a second room. Perfect. Try out several and see what works with your system.
