I have heard about a swap magic mem card exploit does that mean that once the exploit is on the mem card you can boot disks without
swap magic???

Yeah get LaunchELF or the unofficial LaunchELF and Indpendence Compiler, from exploitstation.com I think it was?

You need one original PS1 game though, not a backup.

Nope, the slim wont work at least not 70012. I think Sony caught on and corrected the issue. Surely someone can find away around this.

haahaa...just stop being lazy and use the SM3 discs. the pstwo slim line is the joke of the year for moding. i modded my pstwo with a piece of duct tape and a small piece of metal with a screw hole drilled through (other items can be used, this is just the best in my opinion). and you dont even have to break the warrenty seal because you can just "fold" the pstwo lid over and keep the seal intact haahaa! heres the link i used (i replaced the glue step with something easily removable if i have to cash in the "extended warrenty")
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/117041

for the glue, i sorta crimped a small piece of metal and drilled a small hole (the size of the pstwo screws) in one end and placed the other over the nub or w/e so when i screw the pstwo back together, the metal keeps the button down like their glue idea. cept i can unscrew remove the tape and metal piece and viola! nobody is the wiser and im getting my pstwo renewed the last day of my warrenty :)

You can buy SM 3.6 and that should work. I dont have original SM disks so I cant tell you but I have ran downloaded versions and have gotten backup CD's to work on the slimline but I cant get DVD's to work. When I put in the DVD the it never stops spinning. works ok on my old 39001 though.
