My PS2 that I have is a SCPH-39001. And when I try to play a ps2 game it say's no data. It loads up and goes to where it say's browser and system config. When I go into the browser it showes nothing and say's no data. I swaped out drivers from another SCHP-39001 and it say's the same thing. DOES ANY ONE HAVE A SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM OR DO YA KNOW WHAT MIGHT BE GOING WRONG.
NOT REALLY BUT I BEEN WORKING ON IT AND I DON'T THINK THAT IS IT. IT WON'T READ DICS. IT WON'T EVEN SPIN THE DISC EVEN AFTER YOU PLACE THE CD IN AND MAKE IT GO BACK IT. IT CAN READ MY MEM CARD AND EVERY THING SO I DON'T KNOW.
well see i swaped out drivers from another scph-39001 so would that make it not work or spin. and i am sure that i hooked it all back up. every wire and thing.
i had the same problem, it makes a clicking noise, right? if so, you probably have a snapped, slipped belt, broken gear, or a dead motor. The best thing to do would be to put a new dvd drive in your ps2, or do what i did and purchase a slim ps2.
well see i have it open right now and every thing seem's to be working properly it's just that when it starts up it go straight to where it say's browser and system config. and then it try's to spin the disc and it does just a little bit then it stops.
if any one could or would like to help me with this problem i would greatly appreciate it. because i play nfsu2 online alot and i need to get back on it asp.
well now i have f-ed up the whole thing so where can i just send it to get it fixed. it turn on but it won't let the blue eject button work and it won't open all the way. so i need a place to send it.
