Hey everyone! I just recently (a few hours ago) decided to mod my Gamecube. I did my PS2 and Xbox a long time ago.

I plan on soldering myself, I havent soldered anything since 3 years ago but I heard GC was extremely easy.
I don't own a soldering iron and so I need to buy one, will this soldering iron be okay?: http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1340443

If there are any better or cheaper soldering irons to use... or any tips on soldering.. PLEASE let me know.

I want to order this package since I need the case and gamebit too:
http://www.modchipman.com/qoob-sx-case-combo-p-475.html
Has anyone ordered from here? Any other recommendations (preferrably US) of good places to order?

I'm kind of nervous about messing my Cube up, even though I have modded twice before. THANK YOU!

I am also considering this:
http://www.extreme-mods.com/extreme-gamecube-combo-1-p.html

Qoob Pro Modchip
Gamecube Cover
Gamebit

It's $11 more to get Pro. Shipping is about the same price if I chose USPS Priority, which I think is better anyway. Modchipman only uses fedex, and they always seem delay my shipments.

Anyone opinions on either modchipman or extreme-mods?

You need "15 watt" Soldering Iron. Do not overheat anything inside GC.
Special care needs the wire that is going to be attached in the I.C.

Thanks for the help so far. I also need flux and solder. What diameter should the solder be?
