Does any one know how to connect your xbox to your pc and the pc can pick up the xbox's signal. One ? can you use an plain old ether net cable or do you have to use something else.

If you look around on the forums under the XBOX discussions, you will find many tutorials on how to SoftMod your Xbox. I'm pretty sure that is the only way to FTP from your PC to your Xbox. The dashboard you probably have on your Xbox is the MS Dash and that doesn't give you access to your Xbox to FTP. The ony way to get access is to change the dashboard to something like UnleashX. If you look hard enough on AD, you'll find many tutorials on how to do this. As to your question about the ethernet cable, I think you a need a crossover cable to go directly from your PC to your Xbox. But if you have a router or a hub, you can do it with ethernet cables. Hope I answered your question.

I have a wirelss G router and I also have xbox live. But is has been raining alot and I think that might be messing up my xbox live so I figured what a better time to soft mod since I wont be able to get online for awhile. I just want to put mods in my GOTY Morrowind game file because I seen all these cool mods and I want to put those onto my xbox via an network.
How do you back up your MS dashboard.

thanks for the link I need to know is how to back up the MS dashboard because I got my live working last night and I want to get on live without being baanned. Don't plan on modding online.
Also need the linux for OO7 AUF.
