OK.
I wanna make a Dual Layer copy from God of War
i wnna have a clear answer, cause some say it does work with SWAP Magic, other say it does not.
if i use the GT 4 TOXIC Dual layer patcher, can i then play the DVD Dual Layer Copy of God of War. ??

your clear answer.
NO....NO....NO!
Swap Magic will not play any DVD9 back ups
If someone says they are doing it then they are
just plain wrong. They may be playing an already fixed
version that they downloaded. These are made by people
who wanted to fit God Of War onto a DVD5 so they could boot
it, but it is not a DVD9

rebulding is just takeing some files(movies/cinematics) out of the game. which really sucks becase those movies freaking rock. and if anybody knows if u can save the movies to a disk to watch seperatly reply

so i also do not need to rent the game

I think you don't understand what 'NO' means. You have two senior members saying it can't be done and you're stil asking if it can be done. I'll repeat what's been said above - Swap Magic can only play a back up of GoW if it has been rebuilt, that is, it's been converted (rebuilt) from a DVD9 (Original) to a DVD5 (backup).

you can have it with the movies but you have do downsample them to do a copy. To reiterate No you cannot do a straight off copy but you can downsize or 'rebuild' it and it will work. There is a tutorial by sonix on his sight of how to rebuild it with the movies the files are on his site (www.backuptools.co.uk) but his site could close at any minute so pm me if your having trouble finding it.

No you can resize all the movies including bonus ones. Basically what your doing is is getting rid of some of the quality in the video to make it a smaller size, so you can do that with the bonus movies aswell. To be honest with you i didn't notice the difference.

As Stated above, Yes you can make a working
copy as many people have already done this.
It is a long process compared to just a strait
back up of a game, but it can be done.
Then once you have done all the steps needed
the game size will be small enought to copy
to a regular DVD5 (4.7GB) so that you can play it
using Swap Magic. And like i said above, you will
never miss the extra stuff you cut out if you
never knew it was there in the first place.
So just follow the instructions and enjoy the game.

Does anyone ever listen to me? you can leave ALL of the movies in, you have to downsample them.

i recomend just use hdadvance with DVD9 support from a ps2 hard drive----it will cut down on all this mumbo jumbo---of losing stuff

then there is always a simple solution of being resourceful
i am sure if he looks hard enough he can find it somewhere
on the net where the work has already been done for him.
Or buy a good chip (DMS4 Pro) and you can play
dual layer back ups without all the hassle.
Or just read the many,many,many,many,many
threads here already on God Of war.

well demonkill if he would just buy an original he wouldnt waste his time
and if you have enough for burners and dvd to copy and high quality internet he can afford a 50 dollaR HARD DRIVE---OR AN ORiginal
