I have a version 7 PS2 with a messiah 2 mod chip...does it read DVD+R's?

i dont have a modchip but all i use are DVD+R and i use the swapmagic

I got version 7 and they don't work for me. Maybe its because i have a PAL ps2 i don't know, they just don't work

Ive got a PAL ps2 ,V7 using Swap Magic 3.6. Reads DVD+R and DVD-R fine.

Mine doesnt play DVD+R games, but it plays DVD+R movies, but plays DVD-R games and movies...weird...

I think it's a matter of trial and error. I've got a V10 and V12 and whether the discs are + or - doesn't seem to make a difference. But personally I buy -s.

both my V7 and V12 play both
i use 8X DVD-R for all my games.
It is just what i started with i guess. and when
you find a brand of disc that works for you every
time (Philips 8X DVD-R) then you stick with it.
I do all my movies on Philips 8X DVD+R though.
