Hi there,
Memosux oops Memorex media are one of the worst media out there :)
Playback issues are usually caused by:
1- Cheap Media (Get rid of those Memorex)
Get Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Maxell
Of course they are a little bit more expensive, but you get what you pay for :)
2- Burned too fast. To prevent skips/freeze and illegal disk like your seeing, burn those at 2.4x MAX. Better / great media 4x MAX.
If you have Taiyo Yuden, fine burn at 8x but I burn at 4x MAX to be save, specially when dealing with DVD Video.
Burn those Memorex at 2.4x MAX (DVD+R) and see if it helps.
What speed do you usually burn those ?
Download VSO Inspector v1.1 --> http://www.vso-software.fr/
Do a Sector Scan and a File Scan on those Memorex that you burned.
If they are NOT 100% error free, you will have issues playing them !

Hi there,
Quote: Use this free, handy program to get the MID code:
He already has VSO Inspector v1.1 installed, that should provide him the Media ID.

I just downloaded Iso Inspector 1.1 and ran a couple of scans on a Yuden000-T02 and a phillips +2.4x: CMAG-R01-00 and they both turned up 100% good.
I do love my benq 1620s!

Hello saugmon,
What I like about VSO Inspector is, well that it's FREE is good :)
But I like that it does a sector scan, but also does a File Test, reads all files like you when you play it or copy them.
So it's a double test !

Ya talked me into it too. Nice simple utility. I'd seen cougar talk about it many times but never used it personally. It's free so it's downloaded now. Thanks cougar.

I noticed that file test but ignored it. I'll have to tinker around with it. The price is right!
I'm having trouble with dvdinfopro. I finally was able to download the free version a couple days ago.It allows me to check the MID codes, but won't run the PIE/PIF scans.

Yeah another thing I don't like about dvdinfopro free vs is you have to update it twice a month seems like. I started useing and recommending dvd identifier for IDing media.

Yep, that's also why i've been recommending dvdidentier. Dvdinfopro still says the free version expired in january of 05. If I can get it to download, then a couple weeks later,it expires.
