I have noticed on certain movies that I have recieved that certain groups of people have managed to put an "opening sequence" at the beginning before the movie starts, showing who authored it. Sometimes its an short animated video and sometimes its just a picture with the name of the author fading in around it. I'm kind of looking more toward the pic and a name fading in, but any info anyone could provide on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Any good authoring program allows you to do this.
Create the clip (or download one), and set it to firstplay, with an ending link to the first VTS menu.
