Hey, I've tried everything for burning Soul Calibur 2 now, I've tried burning a straight copy with dvd decrypter, nope. Tried Rebuilding it with nero, nope. Tried looking for a dummy file of some type, couldn't find it. I'm using maxell 4x dvd-r's and burning at 4x. What havn't I tried yet?

yeah, didn't work, I've tried cd loader v1-6, cd loader v7all, dvd loader v7, and I'm going to try dvd loader v1-6 now. I tried installing a patch from ps2nfo but I don't think it worked becuase the ppf nfo document said that it was only made for this one certain iso downloaded from the internet, and then it gave me the name and everything. But I have the official iso straight from a real dvd, so I'm not sure if that would work, so I burnt both an unpatched one and a patched one, so far I havn't gotten either to work at all.
Just to clarify things for me, which option do you select in the multiple boot menu for soul calibur 2 and how do you select it? Do you select it and then wait for cd loader to reboot then try to boot the backup, or do you swap the disk then choose the option and let it try to boot?
Oh yeah I've got swap magic v3.6 with a PnP swap key v5-7 (http://www.mod-chip.com/en/ps2nosolder.htm)
edit: finally got it! Had to use the EA method with dvd loader. If anybody else needs help with SC2 pm me and I'll give you a step-by step.

hey ihatexbox,

You can back this up without using the cd loader. You will need to find the "Soul Calibur 2 US +78 trainer DVD Patch" and the "PPFOMATIC" program to install it (Very easy to do). After burning the game, you just do the normal swap magic thing. One neat thing is that the patch installs all the cheats on the game, so you can unlock all the players if you so desire.

If you aren't having any luck locating the patch or program, pm me your email address and I'll send them to you.

Good luck...
