DVD Shrink (on it's own) does this movie fine. have you tried reauthoring, ie selecting movie only to see if that works ?

I got a few cobwebs myself, been battling some summer virus. But this movie caused a lot of problems, I used Decrypter and then did main movie and it came out fine.

suppose i could try to do the movie again just to remind myself, but you're quite right, Decrypter will storm thru it. All i remember for definite about Daggers was that the DTS track was a ginormous 1.3GB

@milly8
Is it that you cannot rip, or burn? What error are you getting?

MAke sure you have DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0, then rip to HD and shrink from there. Should have no problems then.

I cannot RIP, --shrink (latest version), DVDXCopy all versions incl Rescue, all freeze part, usually about 1/3 to 2/3 way, into analyzing.
Error report is long & complex, didn't record it. Thanks !

Shrink and DVD Xcopy cannot rip this movie. Use DVD Decrypter or DVDFab Decrypter these will rip this movie, both are free. Or try the trial version of AnyDVD it will break the encryption. If you continue to get this error then clean your disk or take it back and get another original, because your disk is either a bad press or has some imperfection.

Arniebear, Ive had decrypter & at your suggestion just installed Fab free version. After install, It suggested I hit a button for HD & device to have DMA enabled, which I did, even tho it looked already enabled in device mgr of XP.
So, I will try one more time to back up Daggers. Thanks

Just ripped Daggers, but nothing (shrink or Decrypter) will burn or compress it. Message pops up: "Invalid access to memory location"
Any ideas how to compress (over 7 mb) or burn ?

Finally got this backed up.
Failed: DVD2One 150 with DVD43 or AnyDVD.
Failed: rip to HDD with DVDdecrypter, older version
Success: rip with latest DVD Decrypter
Failed: compress with DVD2One 150, or DVD Rebuilder
Success: compress with DVDShrink 3.2 (didn't try newer version)
Good luck.
