I am really confused here. I've burned loads of PS2 games but I have found that some games work, some don't. The ones that don't work display the initial Playstation 2 logo screen and after that the game doesn't play. Does anyone know the reason for this? Games that I have tried and haven't worked include: Destroy all humans, Silent Hill 4, fantastic 4 etc. Is this an NTSC PAL issue? or DNAS issue?
If so how should I correct the problem?

My playstation is chipped. I'm not sure which chip it is though.

if you're chipped, I'd suspect the media you burned it onto. What brand disks did you use?

Okay. I use DVD Decrypter and the discs I'm using are Datawrite DVD-R x16. So it doesn't sound like it's a PAL/NTSC problem or DNAS problem?

i agree it may be your media.
What kind is it?
What program did you burn them with?
And at what speed?

I did Destroy All Humans and it worked fine
I did nothing special.
A NTSC/PAL problem usually only effects your screen.
It will usually be in black & white and flipping out
but will load up. NTSC & PAL have different screen rates.
DNAS is only a problem if you want to play back ups online
Nothing to do with weather it loads or not.

Are you backing up from originals or getting the isos "some other way"?

Okay I'm burning using DVD decrypter. The media is Printable Datawrite DVD-R x16. The writing speed is @ x8. I've been using originals (e.g. Silent Hill4) as well as solops2 isos, (Destroy USA). I've had problems with like 4 original games uptil now but I had always thought maybe these games just won't copy due to some copyright protection.
