How to Slide The Slide Tool under the PS2 tray?

I already checked for disconnected cables but every single one of them was connected, the ones i saw, one guy told me that it may be the silver ribbon, but what does that have to do by not making it turn on, can yopu please help and thanks for everything, have a good school day!

Thanks, it was pretty good. And the silver ribbon i think is either something to do with power or to do with the leds. Its good that all wires are connected, are all the soldered bit soldered? And if you change it from down to upright can you hear a rattling sound?

i went to school too, today, and i told a friend and he told me as you did, that the most possible reason because of that problem was because of the silver ribon that might be like pulled and that i had to put it back in place, do you also think that might be?

Well, i already opened my PS2, but my frined told me to take off the two screws by the fan, and the two screws close to the memcards, can you please tell me where the memcards are located at?

I would like to help out but im not sure where they are located :( Is it the memory cards for the save games? Why did he tell you to do this?

since u still have the sldie tool besides flip top this is what u do.
put in the slide tool move to the right then pull out the slide tool carefully and the tray will come out as well then push the tray back inside by putting one of ur fingers on the left side and push carefully then lock the tray by sliding the slide tool to the right then to the left that might help u

Well now how can i fix my PS2, it doesn't turn on, a friend told me to take the two screws at the fan and other two close to the memcards, but i also thought they where were you saved the game, but i don't know, isn't there another way to fix it, i guess its that silver ribbon anyways.

ok i removes the cover thing from ym disc tray and i made my own slide tool well because i cant find any except on the nt and the shipping is ridiculous, but now my tray wont open it opens liek half an inch then it wont come out anymore and if i pull hard it still wont, i think i broek it, is there any way i can fix it?
or anythign i can do?

wow ok thanks to you guys i fixed my ps2 and now i dont have to spend $50 on a fliptop and shit yet, woo thats some weight off ym shoulder, that pic of where the white thing is really helped,a nd so did other ppl havin the same problem as me witht he stiff tray.
thank you guys so much.
this is th ebest and most helpful forums ite i've found yet.
