Please could someone tell me what the tool c does. When i put the tool c in, it was the way the instructions said and was flat so i could close the lid. But when i tried to load backups or the swap magic cd disk my ps2 made weird scrapping sounds i could not even play my original san andreas because the game kept freezing and again the console made the noise. So i took the tool c out and now the sound has stopped but now definitly i can't play back ups is there any other way to block the tool c sensor? or has anyone had the same problem?
Please any advice would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!!

the c tool pushes down this very little button.people have found other ways to hold it down by holding it down with tape and other household items.my advice go buy and flip top case at clearxbox.com

I have somehow sorted it!!!yea!!!! I put tool c back in and maybe i did it right this time because my backups actually work! Thankyou very much for your advice and if the tool c mucks up again i will definately try the flip lid.Thank you!
