Hello burners !

I have a PS2 V5 (modified to play backups) and a Ricoh DVD+R/RW (MP5125).
I made several backups of DVD movies and PS2 games :

- Movies perfectly work on my PC, standalone DVD player and even PS2 (using both DVD+R and DVD+RW media)
- PS2 games don't work on my V5 PS2 !!!

Tried to create PS2 game backups with Nero 5.5.9.14, DVD decrypter and even PERFECT COPIES with Stomp RecordNow MAX (same soft as Veritas/Prassimo Primo dvd). Also tried different DVD+R/RW media (ricoh, philips, imation, verbatim).

Can you help me because I don't understand.

Don't know what to suggest to you on this as I'm also using a PS2 v5 with a No-Solder Chip and I've also got the same DVD Writer as yourself and I've not had any problems with DVD backups at all.

I'm using the latest Nero and just doing dtraight copies.

I've used different brands like Memorex, Verbatim and also some really cheap Intenso ones and all of them have worked fine.

Stupid (shame on me) !

I solved the problem : I recently understood that I made a (dumb) mistake while doing the identification of my PS2 version. In fact, it's a V7 ! I think this error was due to bad information on the net and based on 2 plugs inside the PS2.
I hope it will work with a new No-Solder Chip for the V7 model.
