Ridisc Xtreme' "Full Face" Printable (Ritek G05 dye) (8x) DVD-R in Spindle Tubs of 50 for £11 about 23p a disc i think.
I heard some very good talk about these discs. And their on their from blankdiscshop.co.uk.
Any tried them, they sounded cheap to say they were the lastest technology. ritek and ridisc seem to be proud of this xtreme media plus their alot cheaper than Datalife +s and taiyo yuden (8X).
I let you know how i get on in all the different speed modes 2.4x 4x and 8x, I also see how well they look after printing.
@J-Kwon hi :)
as you can see by my sig i use nothing but RITEK media
you can't go far wrong with them highly recommended
keep your speed to 2.4x and 4x that way you get a much better burn and no errors
8x is really the speed RITEK rates them for burning data
@J-Kwon hi :)
yes tried most RITEK can't fault any of there media
i personally now use mostly RITEK-RO3 +r and booktype them -rom as my stock of G05 and GO4s run out
@wbfconst hi :)
glad to see another RITEK person on board , bin fighting my corner by myself for far to long.
I bought 100 Ritek G05 silver/matte discs from Meritline & burned them all at 4x without a single coaster in my Plextor 716-A burner.
Why 4x? Well two of the DVD-R sample pack discs & bought from Rima were Ritek G05's. one burned fair at 8x & the other burned better at 4x so if I ever buy Ritek G05's again they will get burned at 4x.
On the other hand the two Taiyo Yuden 8x discs (also all of the 8x TY's from my free 15 disc pack recieved from Discmakers as part of my Plextor purchase) burned great at the rated 8x speed, really good at 12x & fairly good (better than the Ritek G05 at 8x) when burned at 16x.
If you want some cheap discs buy the Ritek but burn it at 4x or below...
