hi,

I have mgs substance wich i like to either split (more likely) or downsize to DVD5. Ive an hard time to find an good tutorial for the PAL version or tools aswell for that matter. But ive managed to find pieces from everywhere like a Pal.iml file to get them in the right order once i beggin to build dvd1, and an tool isoedit made by sonix and a console media patcher also mad eby sonix to remove the checks (i hope it works with mgs sub). Now my question woud be, wich files do ive got to patch/remove the dvdchecks unless it is done like the NTSC tutorial describes.
It says to patch the following file:

1.SLUS_205.54 (mine woud be then SLES_820.09 PAL)
2.\MODULES\IOPRP255.IMG
3.\SKATE\IOPRP255.IMG

Also, opposed to wot many ppl claims namely that isoedit = APache and vice versa, know this. I only use the small part wich differs from that of appache and this is the dummy option to summ 1 option wich allows me to dummying the files. Something u still cant do whit the current version i own at least of appache. On a sidenote to any1 who have experienced difficulties running iso edit cuz of the dll files. Those very specific dlls u need to run iso edit, uve got to download. cuz they arent included in either xp pro nor home version not even backed up in the I386/ dir on the original cd of pro. On top of that u need dutch compatible dll files if u work with an dutch os, or u get errors reading those dlls. That been said, could some1 please explain how to work arround an litle problem whit iso edit. It seems to dummyIng my files only up to 99% and then hangs just doing nothing!? Is there perhaps another easy way to create dummy.dat files whit an tool? I already tried to download iso edit from an site but its not quite the same to that of sonix lol. It doesnt simply has those options sonix probebly putted into. I hope some1 can clear up this annoying mess of that game. Gosh,it seems like GT4 is an walk in the park to rip compared to substance lol.

tnx in advance,

urs kab,

hey dude, are u joking ?

Those files are marely to import the content of mgs through either apache or cd/dvd geN!! And on top of that its for the NTSC verion of the game not PAL like ive stated in my post. Meaning, the NTSC (slus) version contains more files to deal whit unlike the PAL version wich also gives me an Big WARNING regarding the lba tables when i try to rebuild my PAL game by using this IML file based on an NTSC version of a rip. So, the lba woudnt be right also for that matter. Trust me ive been there done that. Its an real fucking pain to rebuild this game on to 2 disc whitout having the information wich files to patch the dvdchecks to begin whit not to mention the order in wich ive got to drag and drop them through cd/dvd gen. Ive just applied the NTSC tutorial that i found somewhere else btw, to split this nasty game by patching my SLES, and 2 IOPR files trhough Console media patcher made by sonix. Since i dont have/know the lba tables to put the files in the right order, i took the advice from some1 arround in mind by placing the system file first and then the slus/sles (in my case) and then the rest of the files followed finaly by the maps. But as result i get an black screen when loading the game. Now it coud be a couple of things wich went wrong:

1. Consele media patcher
2. Wrong files patched
3. build the files in the wrong order

So, pleas for the love of god. Ive got only 3 important questions.

1. wich files do ive got to dummying

2. From wich files do ive got to remove dvd/checks (if neccesarry post the codes so i can edit it through winhex if sonix's console media patcher isnt adequate.

3. last but not least, wot r the lba tables from both DVD1 & 2 once i finaly have to rebuild the darn thing.

p.s: Keep in mind its an PALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPALPAL VERSION I GOT TO DEAL WHIT ;)

tnx in advance,
