I ripped the die hard dvd on dvd decrpter. The size of the disk is 8,461,252,608bytes wich is about double the size of what i am allowed to copy. Someone had suggested that i need to copy the movie to the hard drive and then use dvd shrink to compress it. I am not that big into special features so losing them would not bother me all I am interested in is the movie as a whole. but when i went to dvd shrink and tried to open the i got this error message: DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Failed to open file "E:\DVD_VIDEO\VIDEO_TS.IFO" The system cannot find the file specifed. If there is anything that anyone can suggest i would appreciate it. I have over three hundred dvds and need to start burning freely. I appreciate it to no end. Tburch.....

Rip the DVD in "File" mode with Decrypter.
Then open up shrink and click "open files".
Find the file and hit "OK"

Ok I did this i got the movie to burn to the dvd but the movie wont play now. It plays in the DVD Shrink but when i put it in the dvd player it either freezes when i hit play or the attention screen at the begining. I burnt it using dvd Iso image file and burn with DVD Decrypter. but for whatever reason i have everything special features language selections title menu everything but when i hit play dvd it just freezes up and evenutually goes blank. Any suggestions would be great thanks again Tburch......

Are you using cheap media?
When you say DVD player, do you mean a standalone player?
Most new standalone players can play both +R & -R.
But there are players out there that do not play both formats.
If everything is correct, I would lean towards bad media
