How come when i make backup copies of my dvd-r or dvd+r
the playback freezes ever few secs?. the orginals are fine.
i use verbatim disks i also burn at 4x. i use dvd decyrptor to copy the files to hdd then nero to burn as dvd video.
what do i do?
please help.

are you burning offline? (try that if you arent)
are you running other programs while your burning? (turn everything else off)

try making copies of your backups just using Nero (burning on the fly) as its refered too. thats how i do it.

your media should be fine and burn speed but you might try another brand and see if you have the same problem.The only other brand i would use would be Taiyo Yuden ,give them a shot

Try running a cleaning disc in that stand alone player,if that is where the freezing occurs.

i think it's time for the (LAST section of) proverbial Nero log, it's in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log, but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar..
