when ever i turn on the ps2 it makes noises from the tray in the ps2 and it wont open can some1 please help

does it attempt to open. if it does, you can take the tray off and reseat it.

if it doesn't, then you might have a bad motor that ejects the tray.

or one of the ribbon cables is loose.

or and more unlikely:
if you have a modchip install, it could have made the BA chip that controls the ejecting (along w/ other fncs) go bad and you need a new one. probably not the case on this option

I had the same problem and I did the same thing..It works..also if you are scared to open it..take this advice:BEFORE I HAD THE GUTS TO OPEN IT UP I USED THIS METHOS. WHAT YOU DO IS Whichever cd is in let it load up the game etc and play for maybe 15 or 20minutes and then the tray never fails to eject, this is from my personal experience..dunno if it works for everyone.

dont worry i found out the whit clip when kinda bendy i think my bro was playing the ps2 near the heater
