Is it possible to use real small hd's (3,2gb) to test if this is what you expect it to be or must the HD be 40GB or bigger?
What about loading times? any luck on pulling em down?

Yea u can use a small hard drive like that but it wouldnt really do u any good.

I've heard of 10 gig Maxtor being used.
Loading times are faster than reading from DVD or CD

I don't think that would work as hdloader and hdadvance keep a bit of space for converting files so you would not have any space for a game unless it's a very small one.

my hd is 120 gb and hd loader takes about 3 or 4 gb away for converting reasons

I installed my first copy of hdloader on a 6 gig...although I dident have enough room to copy any backups onto the harddrive...but it tested my disks and everything else so I new it worked.

ok so now I got HDLoader installed on a memcard (independence exploit)
When booting up it says the hd isn't formatted.
When trying to do that it says FATAL ERROR! Can't format the HD!
Is that because it doesn't have a partition installed?
If so, should the partition be FAT32 or NTFS?

I think thats cause you cant format with the memory expliot of hdloader...I Dont no, Iv never tried it. I should though.

try formating with the cds and then booting to the mc version and see if that works...

Why would they make it available for the exploit when it's useless?
btw. I heard some peeps here use it with the exploit.
I have to say this hd was used in a pc before.
maybe first low-level format it?

I dident have any problems with formating a harddrive that was originaly formated with windows xp pro.



I dont think that is a problem....


I still havent tried formating with my mc exploit. but I have to go back to school tomarrow...so If I Test it tomarrow it wont be tell late in the night.


If anyone knows if this is possible then please post it...I dont no.

hdadvance works well with memory card elpoit, or independance installer. will format hard drive with no problems, unless your hard drive is incompatible
