Ok, im using avi2dvd to convert my avi files to iso. At least 3 of my avi files have wma as their audio. However avi2dvd does not support wma, and needs mp3, ac3, pcm, or wav. How would i go about getting this avi file converted to iso? Thank you in advance!!

Full error message:

Audio Format: WAVE_FORMAT_DIVX (same as WMA) DivX Networks.
This kind of Audio Format is not supported!
Avi2DVD supports avi with MP3, AC3, PCM, WAV Audio Formats.

Is there a separate sound file to go with each AVI?
If there is just convert the sound file to a compatible format. There are free and free trial programs you can get to do that.
If they aren't separate you'll have to use virtual dub or something like that to extract the audio file.

You may need to combine the video and audio before try to make a disk image. I have never used avi2dvd so I have no idea how it deals with audio and video(separately or together?).

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it

It deals with it together, i dont think you can add an audio file. So I guess my next question would be how i rejoin the audio and video after the sound is converted to the right format

On second thought, what program should i use to burn a dvd of this movie that might work with the file i already have (with the wma audio)?

you could try Nero.

Does avi2dvd support mpeg? (yes the question does sound stupid lol).

If it does you could get TMPGEnc to encode your file into mpeg for a dvd then burn it. If it doesn't support the audio you can separate it like I said before but TMPGEnc lets you select your own audio and video paths. Some burning programs require that you have the video already in mpeg

I figured it out, what i did was just use divx2dvd or something like that to convert the file to VOB, then just burn it with Nero. It's poorer quality, as the encoding only takes 50 mins, as opposed to 3+ hours with avi2dvd, but its only 4 out of 20 movies so i guess it will be ok. Thank you for all your help.
