I recommend DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink which are both free. You can break the css encryption and rip to your hdd with DVD Decrypter then compress/transcode with DVD Shrink then burn with DVD Decrypter. Here are some guides. http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/index.html

i have those programs, i guess i asked the wrong question, im sorry. im not trying to copy a dvd im trying to make a dvd with some video clips ive downloaded off the internet. sonic mydvd usually can convert those mpeg movies into dvd format and it lets you create your own start menus ect... but for some reason this program has only worked once for me?? what would make it keep saying is has encountered a problem and must close??
