@davidyang,

I think you may need to re-edit and put/ask your question in a better way, so it won't sounds too illegal. So the dvd movies you rented is on a burned dvd? Hummm.... I would try to have DVD Decrypter rip all the files into your hard drive first (go to MODE, FILE F) and see if that solve the issue you're having. Other thing to do is to clean the burned dvd movie real good and give it a shot from there. Sometimes if it has a deep scratches on then it's nearly impossible to rip it regardless.

Again, like I said, just clean it real good, dry it and have DVD Decrypter give it a shot to rip it. Good luck.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

quite possibly these "burned dvds" that you RENT from these video stores are burned onto POOR media to begin with...im actually quite curious as to who is the media manufacturer on these said "burned dvds" that you rent...please enlighten us with the media ID code if you can davidyang~ :) the reason you can not properly rip the dvd COULD be because the original (in this case) is burned on POOR quality media to begin with...if after cleaning as alkohol suggested doesn't work...and you said you tried EVERY program with the same results, this will point to a MEDIA problem once again~ :) let us know

@davidyang, kivory666 & alkohol mentioned the media issue. I have found not one backed-up movie that I cannot re-back up when it's on good media. It seems like that is the talk, yet it is so true. I feel confident in my burns that years from now I could make another back-up just because it was done on good media and burned slow. It seems to sound like bad media. Hope their advice helps and you can make a succcessful backup. Have a good one!
