i cannot ftp my xbox through a linksys router...my ip address is 192.168.1.101 and the same for my xbox...wtf...i keep getting a connection refused...i ve tried changing the ip a few times...by the way...i have smartxx dash please help!

very simple to fix, just go into your dashboard setting, go to your network settings and either switch your xbox's ip to an dynamic ip or if you stay at a static ip, just give it a differnt ip address like 192.168.1.2 or something like that.

well thats kewl that its easy but i did that and in flash fxp i get a connection for about a second and lose it...whyyyy????

no idea, but for me, flash fxp never worked, even though i had every thing set up right, just use core ftp, which is free, workes great for me

If you're using a router one of the easiest method to ensure a connection is to make sure DHCP is enabled on your PC as well as you xbox. Once that has been established, FTPing should be a breeze.
