I've been backing up DVDs for a few months now and up until now I've had my first problem. I want to make a backup copy of 007 Die Another Day. But the problem is, it's a dual-layered DVD, now my burner does support dual-layered DVDs, and it would be easier for me to just rip the main movie to my hard disk first then burn it to a normal DVD.

I'm using DVD Shrink 3.2 and DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0. as well as DVD FOR FREE 3.6.2.111. I've read countless guides on how to backup my other DVDs, but this one doesn't want to work. I've read a lot of threads here and none of them have helped me in my quest of backing up this one.

I've tried opening the DVD in DVD Shrink 3.2, but it gives me the following error even with DVD43 running in the background.

And it gives me an error when using DVD Decrypter as well. I'll post a pic if needed.

Anyone help is much appreciated. :)

hi

whats the error from DVD Decrypter? you can set decrypter to rip main movie only! have you tried ripping in file mode and iso mode? is DVD Decrypter set to default settings except region code for this disc? try aggressive ripping too

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

I set the File Mode to 'Main Movie' only and it still doesn't want to work. I did it in File Mode. I haven't tried ISO mode just yet because it's a dual-layered DVD. Here's a picture of the error I'm getting.
