I was wanting to know if anyone can help me make my Japanese games playable on PS2, I have made the image file , however when i go to play the game, using swap magic, the game is in black and white

I used a NTSC->PAL Patch program to change it so that it would be in colour, and this worked apart from the fact that the image had moved up on the screen and there was a large black Gap at the bottom

I also used PS2 PAL TO NTSC PATCHER WITH Y-FIX V1.06 BETA But to no avail, as the game didnt seem to patch at all, it stayed in black and white AND the image moved up....both problems at once

Can Someopne please help me to patch this game properly

doesnt swap magic play import backups in color.you would select the PAL boot option then hit x.i know it plays original backups.i also heard that you might have to hit the square button to boot from PAL boot option.i dont play imports so i have no firsthand knowledge of imports just what i get from other people.

is your ps2 pal or ntsc?i think jap games are ntsc.and switching the format doesnt change the language of the game.you would need a patch to switch the language if the game doesnt already have alternate languages on it.

which version of swap magic do you have also?

Hahaha, I am well aware it does not change the language of the Game, I am studying Japanese at the moment in University so it is benificial to my studies.....at least thats what i tell people

but other than that, u know anyway i can get language packs?

Basically im using newest version of Swap Magic (3.6 i believe) and Using A British Silver Chunky PS2.

you should have a PAL ps2 then.try using the NTSC option on swap magic to boot the backup.first try the x button to load and then try the square if x doesnt get the backup to play right.use that method on a regular backup with no patching done to it.one of the copies you made might work by fooling around with different boot options on swap magic.

you would have to do some searches on google or other search engines to find english patches for games.which game is it anyway.not all games have language patches.
