Ok I'm not the biggest fan of Snes, but my dad loves the games for it. I have no clue as to why. He doesnt want to play them on the computer and our Snes is missing some wires. But I read that you can use the Gamecube to play them. Now I was wondering if its possible to put the emulator onto the Qoob Pro chip via the flashing software. I assume I would have to compile a dvd of the roms. If anyone can explain this process to me or show me an older thread answering this or any guides I would greatly appreciate it and so would my dad. Thanks.

Yah I've been trying for about 2 hours now coming up with random answers.

Guides to backing up/ booting GC games.
GBA game guides
Etc

Was wondering what exactly is the best phrase to search?

It seems the easiest way to play snes games on the gamecube is to use a program called SNES9XGC. Go to http://modthatcube.pxn-os.com/main.htm and click on "Use Emulators" under the Guides and Tutorials section. If you scroll down there is info on various emulators for the Gamecube including two for snes at the bottom.

I wouldn't recommend either program though, there seems to be very little information available for them so you will end up having to work out most of it for yourself. I imagine they have low compatability no save feature and issues with the sound and framerate. You are much better off using ZSNES or SNES9X for PC or if you really want to play it on a console then try using a snes emulator for XBOX or even PS2, either would be better.

Thanks for the info yes I had checked that out myself. Well I was lucky enough to be able to hunt down a garage sale selling he snes, though no one was bidding on it I offered the man 15 bucks for the cable and he gladly sold it to me. :D My dads happy playing Donkey kong 2 and Super Mario World, as well am I.

Sort of ironic that you can play SNES games easier on an xbox and PS2.
