I think it was as hard as it could possibly be!!!!!

Firstly, the fliptop case for the big ps2. Long story short, an old model had to be replaced with a new model, so then the v4-7 fliptop case had to be modded to fit. Had to use weights to get it to work, but then ended up screwing the screws in ULTRA tight and the pressure worked without any weights on top. Magic swap not working, ended up disc was just dirty from being handled constantly all day.

Ok, so the REAL fun was the slim. Got part A in fine, got part B in fine, part C? Bit of metal blocking the hole!!! (There is another thread about this problem). Took it apart, filed the metal off, still wasnt enough room for part C to fit! Ended up completely taking the metal bit off. Part C ended up breaking, so ended up taking a peice of it and superglueing it over the little sensor that it's meant to press on. So, THAT problem solved.

Now, part B fell out later and got caught inside, so had to take cover apart again. In doing this, the little reset button CAME OFF!!! THe little clicky sparker thing came off!!! If I got its four corners aligned with the four points on the reset button and clicked it, it would work. So, firstly tried to bluetack it into position, but kept moving, and wouldnt take the pressure of the case being snapped on. So, after a few hours of practising where the exact spot it needed to be was, took a deep breath, and put a tiny bit of superglue in the middle of the sparker, making sure not to cover any of the four points. Quickly got it to the right position before the glue dried, held it there, and HU-FRIGGIN-RAH, it was glued in the right place!

So, after ALL that and 2 days worth of fiddling around, FINALLY got 2 working modded ps2s with 2 working versions of swap magic.

WASNT FUN! The tiny reset button falling off sent me absolutely insane!!!

To top it all off, part A snapped, so now there's a toothpick wedged in there holding the button down.

Does it matter which way the little reset toggle is? Meaning does it matter the alignment of the 4 corners or are they all interchangeable? I just snapped mine off last night by accident. Tried the super glue thing but I guess I didn't get them aligned correctly because it just sits red.

Thanks,

Derek

It is rectangal, so it needs to be horizontal not vertical. You need to line the 4 corners up. It's not easy. I tried to get it right for something like 4 or 5 hours.

Don't just stick it back on, try and line it up and click it while it's loose. If you line it up, the light will turn green. While I was holding it on with superglue, i kept clicking every few seconds to make sure I still had it in place.

Also, just put a tiny dab of glue in the center as to not cover any of the 4 metal points
