Using gameshark with a fliptop/swapmagic set?

I want to use this code for this one game and I have the fliptop/swap magic.. so when ever I boot the game shark, select the codes, insert the swap magic dvd cd then the game the screen then goes to this red screen with a huge "swap magic" thingy..

so can anyone tell me how to make it work?

I did search.

I followed everything from this site http://minnwild.8.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=246 but it just WON'T work.

If it'd help I have gameshark 2 ver 4 and swap magic 3.6 and I'm trying to use the codes on a back up game.
