I am burning many dvds successfully using many softwares. Occasionally, I encounter a dvd which when i put it in the dvd drive i receive a message that there is no disc in drive. Consequently, i can't burn it. I put in in the dvd player and it works. I put it on the desktop where i have on;y dvd player and it works but when i put it in the laptop where i have the softwares to decrypt and burn the dvd I receive no disc. I suspect that it is protected in a way to detect the ripping softwares or decrypters. Any solution?
Thx
JF
It may be those sony arcos encryptions that you are having trouble with. I'm not sure of what programs you are using, but most of them need help ripping the newer sony dvds. Download the free trial version of AnyDVD by slysoft. You can click the blue link,or just go into the software tab on top and look under dvd rippers. It's a very handy program to rip the newer encryptions. It's a background ripper.Activate it,look at the fox icon in lower tray, and then it should be working.
It could also be a damaged disc/bum disc.
Try the 21 day free trial of AnyDVD and give it a shot.Since many of my programs are not being updated anymore,AnyDVD by slysoft will rip them.
Are those discs damaged in any way? I clean everyone of mine before they go into my pc drives.
I ran into one last night. Both my benq 1620's said no disc, but my lite-on 167t dvd-rom recognized it-skipped when I viewed it on my windvd5,but DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter froze right off the bat.It was scratched up.It's a bad disc.
after putting the dvd many times in the dvd drive . AnyDVD gave me the following message:
Warning!
Failed to read DVD
This could be have several reasons:
1-DVD media is dirty . You could try to clean it
2-DVD media is damaged. You have to replace it
3-Your Drive is a region 2 RPC2 locked drive, which does not allow reading of scrambled sector from a different region and u try to read a DVD from a different regio.
Known drives having this problem are RICOH/PHILIPS DVD writers and Matshita/Panasonic DVD readers and writers. YOU can try to find a RPC1 patched firmware at http://www.rpc1.com 4-Your drive is an RPC2 drive that has not yet been assigned a Region.Try to assign one, or try to find a RPC1 patched firmware at http://www.rpc1.com
Also CloneDVD is giving me failed to obtain information. The DVD is not in DVD-Video format.
So what changed now is that after leaving the dvd for while. Any dvd gave the error message and CloneDVD also gave an error message and it doesn't appear anymore that no disc in the hardrive. I can see the title but I can't play it
