Gameshark Lite PSX Work to boot PSX backups on ps2?

I have searched and saw some things about a version of gameshark that will work to boot the playstation 1 backups but I cant find out which ones all do it, because gameshark lite seems to be really cheap and if it was ever confirmed to work... so can anyone help me out?

YES Gameshark Lite will work

and if you can come accross a Gameshark made for PSX it will also work
