How to rip complete soundtrack off dvd

i was wondering if it was possible to rip the complete soundtrack off a dvd, like for instance a music dvd, edit it into tracks, and compile a cd from it...

(thats it without having the video footage...)

i'm a complete newbie, and i don't know how to even start to figure out what to do...

if someone could help me out here and tell me if it is possible that would be awesome, and to tell me how to do it that would be even better...

I use A1 DVD Audio Ripper and then if required seperate the soundtrack into 2 parts of 45-50 minutes using Acoustica and then Nero to burn mp3 into audio CD. The sound quality is fantastic, and the software is very easy to use.
