Hello, I am attempting to burn a DVD that has been shrunk by DVD Shrink 3.1 using Nero. However, I am getting a power calibration error and it will not burn. Here is the log from Nero:

First you need to edit out your serial number for Nero (right under where it says sean inc.)

What else is running on your system while burning?

That's never good try turning off all background tasks and don't do any multi tasking while burning.

Also try shrinking your DVD a bit more in Shrink

That leaves little room for error try setting the default value in Shrink to something more like 4300MB's

Your writer is running in PIO mode you need to switch that to DMA

You need to edit out your serial number, someone could steal it. The edit button is on the right of the yellow bar in the post.

Your firmware is way out of date current for this drive is 1.08. Go to http://plextor.com/english/support/downloads/firm_716.htm and get the update for the drive.

Try and free up some memory by shutting down background programs, Nero does not have enough to operate.

I had the same (or similar) problem when I upgraded from Nero 5.5 to Nero 6.6 Ultra. I had to go back to using Nero 5.5 and all is well again.
