I have DVD's that were specified for region 1. I'm in region 6 and my player only plays region 6 dvd's.
When I rip the DVD, will it be able to play on my player? If not so, any advice as regards region change.

Region 1 is also in the NTSC format. Make sure your dvd player (s) will accept NTSC also. If not you will need to convert it from NTSC to PAL.
Does it imply that using Decrypter, DVDRebuilder and CCE combination will NOT remove the copy protection? Does it mean that after ripping with Decrypter, the copied DVD will have copy protection for region 1?
You will either need to use the capabilities of Decrypter to remove the copy protection or if the film has a newer protection system decrypter can not bypass, then you will need to use another program in the background such as AnyDVD. This will then allow Decrypter to see the film as unprotected. If you don't get around the protection at this point, then you are not going to do any copying at all. Once the protection is removed, it is gone for good. You can then have the option to change, remove or leave alone the region coding on the film as well. This though is not going to have any affect on the PAL or NTSC format. If you intend to change this, then you are into another ball game altogether, persona;;y I have never bothered as all my equipment plays both with no problems.
