My hp dvd burner used to work perfect.. Now when i copy a dvd in shrink or nero it will burn ok but only read on my computer dvd player.. when inserted in tv dvd player it says disk dirty or no disk, but it will work in computer,.. I also have a hp lite scribe in the same computer it copys and burns ok using the same programs.. any thought out there, have i lost a driver for this burner??? Thanks bilbob1

If you haven't changed anything with your blank media like different brand name/format/or even different spindles: Try using a can of compressed air in the dvd player.If that don't help,try using a laser cleaning disc.The hard cleaning disc should be your last resort.

What is the brand name/format/and speed rating of your blank media?

Issues like this are usually caused by media quality,that MID code will help.

I mostly use TDK+ But i have tried others to see if it was the media.. it is strange that all of a sudden it quit playing on tv dvd player all at once. I can put a dvd movie in this recorder and use DVD Shrink and it reads the movie and transfers the data to hard drive then to dvd recorder in drive F. the movie works fine..
but when i reverse the procedure it only plays in the computer.. This happens even when i use Nero.. But i will try your suggestion. Tnx Bilbob1
