If not, hopefully someone can send me in the right direction.

Very new to movie making and the general area of CD/DVD burning, I have just installed a Liteon 1673 External DVD R/RW drive on my wife's desktop.

The hardware install seems to have gone okay, but my problem is this: How do I get my old stuff (done in Movie Maker 2) to burn to a DVD using the new hardware?

I don't mind learning a new piece of software (Nero), but I hate to have to go back and rework old stuff.

Thanks in advance -- and if this needs to go to a different forum, please point me in the right direction.

Hi bonkerpro,

What format are your files in? If they are Mpeg, DivX or just about anything else try this guide.

i spose you would need to link 2 computers or put all files on dvdr to load to second pc with new hardware, do you have a burner in old pc? if not put new drive to old pc make a dvdr backup then put drive back to new pc...

Thanks for the links and the feedback. We have just now gotten power and cable back after the hurricane hitting the Gulf Coast, and I have loads of yard stuff to do. I'll get back to this and post an update in a day or two.
