Is it just sort of trial and error when you rip an iso, burn it, try playing it on a modded ps2 and get a blank screen? Is that when you know you need to rebuild the iso? Or is there a list somewhere of which games need rebuilding so you don't need to take chances in burning coasters? Thanks!

To tell if you need to rebuild games they will be bigger than 4.3GB meaning its a dual layer, dms4 modchip can play DVD-9 backups. What chip do you have?

there are a few list here if you search
But it is really trial and error. If you search here
before you burn them you may find someone else who
has posted about having problems and been told that it has to
be rebuilt. But i had rebuilt games in the past for various reasons
like slow load times, audio/video problems and so on.
I would say 95% of the games you will not have to rebuild.
Especially if you have a good mod chip, then you won't have
to rebuild anything except those games you want to patch
for online play.
And yes you have to patch any game that you will want to use
the online features for.

If a rebuild a game that doesn't need to be rebuildt...will that affect the image?? I have a game that used to work...now when I patch it, only shows the black screen. It is WE8LE with reefur 1.0 patch... I have a modbo modchip but I have backed other games fine...

Any suggestions...

If your mod chip is any good you should not need
to patch games, except for online play.
Not sure about Modbo except that it is a clone
of a better chip.

ok . i got the orignal game and i want to make a copy and remove the online features ( dont put online features in the copy ) from the copy . coz i dont wont to get baned from sony . any one know how ? thanks .

If you don't want the online features you don't
have to do anything special. Just copy it.
