make sure the lid is closed all the way and the screws to the fliptop cover are screwed down firmly.

it sounds like the swap disc is dirty or scratched.but i guess youre saying they are not scratched.have you tried ths cd disc to see if it works also?

Try puting in your own white disk into the fliptop case. The one that came with mine had a weak magnetic charge. The original one from my PS2 worked much better.

try not lifting the lid up all the way, maybe just over half way it may click or feel like its in a bump, try leaving it there, anyway thats what happend to my slimline, i lift it up to far and it wouldnt read, if i bought it down a bit it would read.

youll have that problem using swap magic and trying to boot nba street.the best and most used solution to that is to extract the game files from the game disc or an iso image file of the disc with an iso program like isobuster.this makes the games size smaller as you get just the game files and not the free or unused space that is on the game disc.then you take those files and load then into Nero burning rom (dvd udf/iso option) and burn to dvdr or load the files into cdvdgen to put the files back into iso image format then burn with dvd decrypter(you could use any other program that is capable of burning an iso image file also).then it should boot up with no problems.if you plan on doing this, dont hesitate to ask any questions or search around the forum as there are alot of threads that explain exactly how to do this.

try Nero its easier.just click on the blue Nero text to download the trial version.after you installed Nero you go to your windows start menu and select your programs.go over to Nero and a pop up menu will appear.select Nero burning rom.when you get to the menu screen select advance options then you will be able to select dvd udf/iso option.you then put the files into the column that is second from the left(drag and drop them in).they will be arranged in alphabetical order but will burn in the order you put them in Nero.rename the compilation from "new" to whatever you want then select burn compilation, then no multi session, adjust the speed to your liking and burn.

to tell you the truth, afterdawn should make a permanent thread about how to copy nba street 3.even though there is a rebuilding thread, nobody checks it out.they look for specific game advice only.not to throw ridicule at anybody but people constantly have trouble with this game with the numerous threads that explain this exact game over and over again would justify it being a permanent thread.and name it "how to rebuild nba street vol.3".i dont think any game has been explained more than this one.and telling people to search around the forum doesnt work and it comes off as telling people theyre annoying.but directing them to a specific thread would help.

its not just you.it seems every week somebody needs help with this game.and the solution on how to get it to work has been out for awhile now.like i said its not anybodys fault that they dont think to use the forum search.its a little inconveinent to use.and most people dont know what rebuilding is so they dont even bother to read the rebuilding thread.and further they dont know nba street needs to be rebuilt if they use swap magic.
