I have tried DVDshrink 3.2.0.15 with AnyDVD 5.4.1.1< I get "invalid DVD navigation structure" when it tries to analyze and also with DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 I get many errors I have tried sending to a video_TS folder and also iso, but nothing worked out for me. Any info would be a great help to me.

I backed it up fine using just DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 and DVD Shrink 3.2 .

Start over and rip it first with DVD Decrypter, then open files in DVD Shrink. (Make sure AnyDVD is off before you run/open DVD Decrypter!!)

Make sure you have the latest version of DVD Decrypter.

The latest Version is Currently: Version 3.5.4.0

Use DVD Decrypter to "rip" the DVD to your hard drive in "File" mode - and from the "Edit" dropdown menu, select "All files" (NOT "movie files").

Then use DVD Shrink to "Open files" (NOT "Open Disk") - and select "VIDEO_TS.IFO" or the actual "VIDEO_TS" folder.

A good tutorial on how to accomplish this is located here: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45238

If I would have tried to burn right after using DVD Decrypter to rip, yes I would have gotten that message. But, I used DVD Shrink to compress it down to where it would fit on a single layer 4.7GB disc. DVD Decrypter is a "Ripper", not a "Shrinker".

Yes, on some DVD's you must remove something (whether it be a need audio stream etc.) for it to fit.

On every DVD, I remove all audio streams except "English AC3-5.1 CH".

that is probally why then i allways just keep everything no reason just because i dont think it will save that much time so i dont know i just leave it but i bet that is why you did not remove anything is because you do it anyway so that is cool let me know if it does save a good bit of time i will try it thanks for all you help and info

The more you remove the less compression DVD Shrink has to use to make it fit. The less compression DVD Shrink has to use, the faster it will go!

Try "Re-authoring" the DVD only burning the main movie, then you will see how fast it goes. - http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=46607

I'll put it to you this way. I have backed up DVD's in less than 4 min when I "Re-authored" the main movie only. Now that is fast!

I tried it fellas and still get this messege:
On-the-fly IFO/BUP
File Name: VTS_03_0.IFO
Size 67,584 bytes
Reason: Invalid IFO/BUP file

Maybe my settings are off?
I have the updated ver of DD any AnyDVD is off. This is the only one giving me problems.

Try using an older version of DVD Shrink. I know it sounds off track, but it works sometimes for me. Look around and You will find an older version of it.

Oakcliff - Return DVD Decrypter to its "Default" settings, then try again in "File" mode, selecting "All Files".

Go here to learn how to return DVD Decrypter to "Default" settings: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=54187

Then after Make sure you have the latest version of DVD Decrypter.

The latest Version is Currently: Version 3.5.4.0

Still gives errorson filename VTS_04_0.bup. "On the fly IFO/BUP patching failed" messege is what I get also using the up to date DVD Decrypter. I have tried two copies I rented on 3 different systems and still get the same problem.

Can't help you with this.
I refuse to even watch a movie with Hanoi Jane in it!
So, no way I'll buy it, and back it up.

She is a traitor to this country, and should be stood before a firing squad, and shot! I can't believe she was even hired for a movie. I'm sure that's why the movie didn't do well in the theaters.............

Rant over!
Didn't mean to bring politics into this. I just get upset when she's involved in something.

My only recommendation after looking at your log, is to replace the disc. That one evidentially was badly authored and/or pressed wrong is my theory.

While looking at your log, I noticed that there is a newer firmware version available to you. Get it here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_result.php?kaj=1&isces

I doubt updating your firmware will resolve your issue but, you could try it.

I have tried 2 different disc? It is strange that Dave Chappelle new one worked great, but this movie that did not do while is a major headache. I gave up and will buy it for mom next week. It should be in the 3 for $9.99 bin.

You're very welcome! Glad you got it working! (And it was just the disc at fault, not your computer.) :)
