Hi, I have DVD shrink and DVD Decrypter, once I was ready to burn with DVD decypter I used a blank memorex 1-2x DVD-RW and Windows XP said this format is not supported by windows. What format DVD should I use? The icon in my computer goes from DVD-rw drive to cd drive when i put the blank DVD in. The blank should work. my burner supports all DVD formats. It's a NEC ND-3540A 16x DVD+/-r/Rw single layer and dual layer support. Anybody's recomendation would be appreciated. Thanks

Any good DVD-R should work for you. I prefer Philips.

Just use a DVD+R or DVD-R the DVD-RW will have to be formatted before using. which is a pain in the rear-end. I use Verbatim 16X +R MCC 004-00 booked to DVD-ROM. Exclusively.....

Hollyman ,
Welcome to the forum. I use DVDinfoPro ( free and you can google for the program) to re-format my RW's. You can also put the RW in the burner drive and then right click the burner and tell it to erase the DVD

To add to all the above good info, you can also use Decrypter to erase your disk. Just go into Tools, drive and then erase.
