if you need printables as you stated, then the 1st one you listed is not gonna work with your "printable" needs. :) BUT, those are THE best media in your list... the TY 4x DVD-R is by FAR the best of those mentioned media...so, i would recommend those...

prodisc...eh...i'm skeptical about those, but based on experience, i've only used them with "not so great results"....few coasters, few good burns...about 80/20 success vs. bad burns.

ritek would be a good choice for budget printables, i have had GREAT success with the Ritek G05s (8x dvd-r) Riteks, so this would be my 2nd choice in terms of printables...

supermedia..im assuming it's supermediastores' OWN branded media...NOT GOOD.

dupsonic...i've known a few of these to be FAKE TAIYO YUDENS in the past, so i would avoid them as well...

my #1 Recommendation for printable media would the AUTHENTIC Taiyo Yudens also from supermediastore, yes, they run at a premium and are about double in price of the ones you listed..but, if you want HIGH QUALITY/GOOD media, the genuine TYs are the way to go~ :)

hope that helps with your decision making a bit...don't waste your money on the last 2 choices you listed...crappy media indeed. :)

Recommended Media:

Taiyo Yuden 4x dvd-r TYGO1/ 8x dvd-r TYGO2/ 8x dvd+r YUDEN000T02/ 16x dvd+r YUDEN000T03
Verbatim 8x dvd+r MCC003
Verbatim dvd+r DL (MKM001)= flawless no compression backups

Genuine Taiyo Yuden is #1 on my list. 100 DVD-R 4X of Yuden for $26.99 is a really good deal to me. You can't go wrong with that.

I'm with alkohol and kivory666, Taiyo Yuden, even with the printed aspect. Worth it...avoiding potential problems down the road. Those guys have taught us all about great media and yes, it is worth it. Thanks guys!

@ G-Dizzle hi :)
yep i'll go with the RITEK and TY (haven't used ty myself yet but if there good enough for kivory they'll do)
prodisc...a retail friend asked me last saturday to try some new disc he had under the name Titanium which he thought where Ritek
they were'nt they id'd as Prodisc +r R03-03
did 5 back up's all ok. i never burn faster than 4x but on one of these i burned at 6x and then did a scan (kiv i was surprised to see an even scan from edge to edge one high spike PI av 1.80...PIF av 0.31 ) so i guess they may be ok
as to the longevity of them , who know's. i'll have to wait 6mths i guess

For some reason the links in the last 2 posts aren't working ... ??

 http://www.supermediastore.com/taiyo-yuden-cd-r-white-inkjet-prin...

 http://www.supermediastore.com/ritek-arita-white-inkjet-printable...

I think that these will work ... ??

I have had great success with Ritek manufactured +R discs .. never used the -R but they should be good ... Don't know about the 'Arita' marking on them, though ... I suppose that it's all good

Verb printables might run you a little more than that, go ahead and get the Prodisc, just remember never to burn at faster than 4x.
