i was able to unlock my motorola v180..but i dont know if it will work for ur phone cuz i neva tested it on another v180 but back up ur flash file and do this..

first find out the s/w version of ur phone..and get a flash/flex file..i was able to get a early flash file so i flash to and earlier flash/flex file and then i use the Unlock tool..and then i flash/flex back to my original s/w version..hope it help..i got the flash/flex from http://s87445123.onlinehome.us/triplets/..and the unlock tool from one of mossy's link..bigup mossy..
