How to patch Hdloader on unmodded PS2

Hi everyone,

I'm getting ready to follow the Totally unmodded PS2 instructions (http://forums.psxforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=23567 )to run games off my PS2 via a hard drive. I've checked out the compatibility list at ps2hd.com (http://list.ps2hd.com/index.php?alpha=3&skipalpha=no ) and they list some games as working with 'HDLoader PATCHED.'

Now, because I'll have a completely unmodded PS2, I'll always have to use an original HDloader disc to run games off of a hard drive. The question I have is -

Is there any way to run these games that require the HDloader to be patched? Can I patch something on the memory card? Because my PS2 is not modded, I won't be able to burn patched HDloader Cd's... so, I'm confused as to how I could get something like this to work.

you need either a mod are a swap magic disc for it to work

I think you might be able to burn the patched HDLoader iso onto a CD, then install it onto your hard drive using hte original. Then when you want to use your patched HDLoader, put your original HDLoader in, then select the patched one from the menu.

Would anyone be so kind to test this? Loading a patched Hdloader off of an original HDloader? If this works, then this would solve my problem.
